We have no complaints about our one night stay at WYNNSTAY HOTEL, Oswestry. Thje staff that we encountered were all extremely pleasant, friendly, polite and helpful. The room we had (103) was clean and comfortable. The leisure facilities (Coach House) were excellent.
Very customer focussed staff Excellent food Lovely rooms Characterful hotel, independent. good standard. Excellent
staff were lovely, gym was good
Not the food there was nothing left 4 out of 6 items on the menue out of stock
Looked at menue looked good in the afternoon, went back when resterant opened at 7pm was told no burgers no liver no pancakes oh I said give me chicken pasta, 5 mins later sorry no pasta left, so I had a very disapointing fish and chips
Very friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant food and service very good. Absolutely no complaints .Central position ideal .We liked our room because we could not hear the noise from the in house functions.
Room was cold at first as it was very windy so we had to use the heater.. towel rail only cool .No complaints really .
hotel in good position, stayed in the laura ashley suite, nice room, very clean and an excellent breakfast, thanks for a lovely stay.
I enjoyed the pool the staff there were greath. Ialso thought the Breakfast was tops loved the choice of Fish. The staff were very nice and friendly I have no complaints. Dont understand classify hotel
Comfortable, warm, clean. Lovely hotel, excellent location but, and this was not the fault of the hotel, we were disturbed by a hen-party returning to their rooms very early in the morning. Perhaps such groups could be roomed away from other guests. Staff were lovely and the breakfast service was first class. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Only stayed one night but everything was good with our stay
the staff at the hotel are so very friendly its like staying with family!! i would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone. the food in the hotel restaurant was fantastic too
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff at reception, in the restaurant and at the Spa. Excellent food in the restaurant.
The public rooms were splendid, well furnished and the restaurant had interesting photos around the room. The food was excellent, the waiters friendly, cheerful and knowledgeable. The reception staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. There was a flat-screen TV and plenty of wardrobe space. Adequate parking at rear of hotel.
The room I stayed in was rather old-fashioned, which in some ways I appreciated but I shudder to think what the atmosphere will be like on a very cold night. The room was very spacious but the radiators were very small for the size of the room. Again, the bathroom was large but the bath and wash basin had seen better days. The bedside lights were totally inadequate for reading and there was no ceiling light to compensate. However, there was a standard lamp near the window switchable from the bedside though it was not close enough to the bed to facilitate reading.
It is a beautifull old hotel which has loads of character. It's location is perfect and the view from my room, overlooking one of the oldest bowling greens in Britain, hedged by beautifull pine trees, was perfect. Additionally, all the staff were tremendously helpfull.Jude,Ben, Daisy and Laura were the individuals I mainly delt with. But the rest of the staff were always courteous and friendly. Jude ( receptionist ) aided by sound advice which I recieved from laura has already arranged an excellent return deal for when I return to complete buisness in Oswestry next week. Money wise : this has got to be the best 4 star hotel I have ever stayed in. I'd fully reccomend it to anyone.
Nothing of importance. However it would be good at some point if the hotel could incorporate a small fridge and safety deposit box in their rooms. Lot's of hotels have these now.
The Four Seasons restaurant was first class. The food was superb and compliments must go to the chef. The maitre 'd made the experience enjoyable as he was engaging and helpful with the wine choice. The rooms were clean but my only critisim is that the hotel or at least the rooms need either modernising or at least internally redesigning, as they just seemed lacking in style. Other than that our room was very comfortable. Thank you.
We liked the way an old building had been preserved, improved and maintained for modern use. The service was good, staff friendly and very helpful. A very pleasant experience.
Understandable but no lift.
